I am so excited that I'm finally able to share that I am one of five artists chosen to be a member of Gwen Lafleur's very first Artist Tribe. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to collaborate with such a talented group of women including Gwen herself. Gwen has been a constant source of inspiration for me ever since I was bitten by this mixed media bug three years ago. I have watched all of her Facebook, Instagram and Blog posts in awe, enrolled in her classes, purchased just about ever StencilGirl Stencil she's designed, and hoarded a huge... Read more →
Hi Everybody. Today I want to share with you the technique that I used create the blue laced Lutradur element in my StencilGirl Voices Textile Collage. Learning to Fly is a small Flip, created on a 3"X3" base with a background of india inks, a little collage material and stencils. The main characters of my story include a butterfly and flower fashioned from some oak seed pods, (aka those little twirly bird helicopters... Read more →
I’m an art journaler and a mixed media artist delightfully entangled in the never ending process of creative learning. I intend to use this blog as a space to stretch my boundaries, experiment with new techniques, explore new genres, create with new products, and breathe new life into old vintage finds. Its exciting to think about all of the infinite possibilities. Read more →
